This summer has been sponsorship season for Utilita Energy, with the energy supplier extending its partnerships with two major football teams.
The company is already one of the UK’s most popular energy providers and one of the fastest-growing independent companies in the sector, but it will be hoping these high-profile arrangements will continue to get the word out about its services.
It’s a fantastic opportunity for both parties — especially as the sporting world returns to something close to “normal” after a strange two years.
Rangers
Rangers and Utilita Energy confirmed in July that their existing partnership will continue into the 2021/22 football season. It’s the fifth season that the collaboration has been in place, and with any luck, there will be many more to come.
The leading Scottish club is preparing to celebrate its 150th anniversary in the upcoming football season, so it’s the ideal time for Utilita to leverage the partnership.
Utilita was the Title Partner for the Rangers vs Arsenal match on 17 July, giving it significant coverage for the friendly game. The energy provider will also continue to appear on the Rangers Women’s team shirts, the Girls’ Academy jerseys, and the junior replica kits.
Talk about a hat trick!
The club has benefitted from the partnership by using Utilita’s funding to promote grassroots football. Another welcome result has been the Energy High 5 movement, a campaign helping households to save as much as £163 a year by making simple changes to their daily habits and energy consumption.
Eastleigh FC
At the other end of the UK, Utilita has also extended its partnership with Eastleigh FC. The club has been working with the energy supplier since 2016, but they’re now set to continue the partnership all the way to the 2025-26 season.
Utilita is the lead sponsor and official partner of the Hampshire club, helping them to maximise their reach. Their logo and name will appear not just on Eastleigh’s shirts but also on its leisurewear, advertising hoardings, scoreboards, and more.
Both parties are delighted with the arrangement, with Eastleigh expressing gratitude for Utilita supporting the local community and the sport.
It’s a partnership that will always hold a special place in Utilita’s heart considering the southern football club was the company’s very first partnership. Following the arrangement, Utilita became a staple in the world of football sponsorship — it has now partnered with more than 25 clubs.
It’s all to play for
They’re just two of Utilita’s numerous partners — there’s no guessing who will be in the pipeline next.
What’s certain is that, with these two important partnerships in place just in time for the 2021/22 football season, Utilita Energy will be hoping for a profitable year ahead, while the football clubs will have their eyes on titles and trophies.
